I decided it would be nice to do something that I don’t really have to concentrate on to complete, so what do you think I decided to make? I decided I would crochet an afghan. I’m making some decent progress on my project too, just not enough progress to show to you quite yet. Maybe soon, okay?
Anyhow, I chose to do a wavy rippled afghan and I’m using Caron’s One Pound (acrylic). Now, now - before you turn up your nose at the mere mention of acrylic yarn, allow me to remind you that not only do I have two children, but I have an assortment of pets. If I’m going to crochet a blanket, it needs to be somewhat durable and extremely washable. Acrylic yarn is, in my opinion, the best choice for this project.
In case you’re wondering what colors I’ve chosen, I’m using lace, rose and country rose. I think they look great together.

In other news, one of my New Year’s resolutions this year was to quit biting my fingernails. How do you think I’m doing? I know my polish is chipped and I need to shape my new nails, but I’m pretty gosh darn proud of myself. Hopefully I can break this nasty habit for good.
