Saturday Sky 10/28/06

This week’s Saturday Sky was taken a bit later in the day that usual - around 4:30 PM. We had our blue skies, but a lot of intimidating looking clouds were in view as well. You can tell it’s been cold here in the hills, our pretty tree is no longer so pretty. Bye bye leaves. You were beautiful while you lasted.

Five more words… BOOGA BAG !!! FIVE ROWS LEFT !!!
What an awesome day.

Since I never got outside with my camera yesterday, I don’t have a picture of Saturday’s Sky. However, I can tell you that yesterday’s sky looked pretty much the same as every other Saturday Sky you’ve seen from me - grey. Yeah, it’s been awhile since we had a sunny Saturday. Anyhow, I thought I would share a Sunday Sky with you today, to make up for my laziness yesterday.

I also thought I would share a picture of the lovely leaves in Central New York. There’s a little less green than last week’s picture. The skies may be grey, but the fall foliage is starting to make up for it.

Another grey day. I’m getting pretty used to the sun not shining around here. It’s still warm, though, so I won’t complain too much. I’ll save my bitching for February, when it’s grey and cold. Then you’d better watch out!

Since the leaves around here are just starting to change, I thought I would give you a peek of what’s yet to come. This is a close-up of the tree (on the right) in the above picture. There’s still a whole bunch of green leaves on this tree, but they’re changing - slowly but surely! I love when everything turns red, orange and yellow. It’s such a beautiful sight to see.
I’m working on a pair of knifty knitter slippers. I’m using the pattern from Yarn Gear along with some Lion Brand Wool-Ease Chunky in charcoal. I’ve tried making them before, but I’ve never been successful when it comes to completing the heel. I’m hoping to have more luck this time around.
I will get these done this weekend. I’ve been too lazy lately and it’s about damn time I got a project done!

I really don’t know what to say about this week’s Saturday Sky. Take a look at the Saturday Sky from last week or the week before. Whatever I said on those two days could probably be said today.
<sing>It’s a beautiful day in the neighborhood…</sing>
Yeah. Uh huh. Right.

I guess some things never change. This Saturday looks a heckuva lot like last Saturday, doesn’t it? The only difference would be how wet it is outside - we got some major downpours today! Hopefully next Saturday we’ll see a sunnier sky.

Everywhere I turn I see Saturday Sky and well, to be honest with you, I think it’s kinda neat to see what everyone else is seeing - especially when what they’re seeing may be different from what I’m seeing - you see? Anyhow, I thought I’d join in on the fun although, as you can see, it’s a dreary day here in Central New York. I won’t complain. We’ve had some beautiful weather around here lately, so a little bit of grey today can’t hurt.
