List your three favorite double-point needle brands, including size and length.

Okay, I have to be honest - I only have two sets of double-pointed needles. When I’ve knit socks, I’ve used circular needles (usually Inox Express or Hiya Hiya), so I don’t have much experience with DPN’s. The first set I have is a set of 7″ Susan Bates Silvalume needles (size 6) and the second set are 6″ Knitpicks needles (size 3). Of the two sets, the Knitpicks needles are my favorites. They are beautiful needles - sharp and slick! I’ve never tried wooden DPN’s, but I do like the bamboo needles that I use for things like dishcloths, so I’m guessing they’d be nice too.

Would you like to try a new brand needle? If so, which brand? Size? Length?

With as little experience as I have with DPN’s, I’d have to say I’d try anything!

If you are a RAVENCLAW, do you prefer the colors in the film or the book? Do you have a strong preference?

I don’t have a preference.

Allergies? Do you have any? Will your knitting be exposed to smoke or animals?

I don’t have any allergies, but the smell of cigarette smoke does bother me a wee bit. I hope that doesn’t offend anyone who is a smoker because I really don’t want to sound uppity or anything, it’s just that I’m somewhat sensitive to the smell since I quit smoking a couple years ago. Anyhow, my knitting won’t be exposed to smoke, but I do have animals. Even though I try to keep animal hair away from my projects, it doesn’t always happen!
